- Sugar – 1 cup
How to make gram flour laddu
step 1- To make the traditional Indian sweet gram flour laddu, first put half a cup of desi ghee in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add 2 cups of gram flour in it, mix well with the help of a ladle and fry. During this time, slow down the gas flame. Using thick gram flour will make laddus grainy. The gram flour has to be roasted until it turns golden brown. If the mixture becomes dry then add one more tablespoon of ghee.
Step 2- It will take 15-20 minutes to roast the gram flour properly. After this the gram flour will start leaving the ghee. After this, fry the gram flour for 10 more minutes, then turn off the gas and take out the mixture in a big bowl and let it cool. Meanwhile, put chopped cashews and watermelon seeds in a pan and dry roast them. After this, add them to gram flour and mix properly.
Step 3- Now add one cup sugar and cardamom in the blender and blend it. Now add sugar powder to roasted gram flour and mix well. If you want, you can also take sugar syrup directly instead of sugar. Keep in mind that the mixture should remain cold while adding sugar, the sugar will melt when heated.
Step 4- Finally, take the prepared mixture in your hands, tie it into laddus and keep it in a plate and let it set. Make laddus from the entire mixture. Laddus are ready to be offered to Ganpati Bappa.
