MCD's bulldozer used in Delhi, 40 illegal constructions demolished in swift action, 8 properties sealed

The Municipal Corporation's crackdown on illegal construction and dangerous buildings in the capital Delhi has been intensified, on Monday 40 illegal constructions were demolished in 12 zones and 8 properties were sealed. After the Satya Niketan accident, MCD has intensified action against dangerous and illegal buildings in Delhi. Apart from this, 14 demolition orders were also issued if rules were found violated.

After a recent tragic building accident in Satya Niketan, Delhi, MCD on Monday took swift action against dangerous and illegal buildings and carried out demolition at 40 places and sealed 8 properties.

On Monday, massive bulldozer action was taken in TC Camp of Pandav Nagar, East Patel Nagar, Regarpura of Karol Bagh, Mata Rameshwari of Nehru Nagar and Narayana Industrial Area Phase-1.

MCD is preparing to take action against such buildings in the survey, which are in very dilapidated and dangerous condition. If necessary, these buildings will be demolished. Action has also been taken in East Vinod Nagar, Mayur Vihar Phase-2, Raghubarpura and Dharmapura of Gandhi Nagar. At the same time, illegal constructions were also demolished in Matka Ganj area.

According to the MCD survey report, so far 2,453 buildings running as PGs have been identified in the city, out of which 4 buildings have been found in dangerous condition. About 25 buildings need major repairs. MCD had launched a similar campaign a day earlier also. In that action, 11 properties were demolished and 4 properties were sealed.
