its historical recognition

This market is centuries old and was started in 1919. According to local legends, this story is related to 'Ba', a young man from the Nung community and 'Ut', a young woman from the Giai community. 'Ba' was an ordinary flute-playing boy, while 'Ut' was the daughter of the chieftain of that clan. Due to their inability to meet, the two decided that they would meet each year at Khau Yai Valley on the 27th day of the third month of the lunar calendar. Since then the tradition of this market started.
