The political turmoil in the Nandigram assembly by-election in West Bengal intensified on Friday when Mamata Banerjee-led TMC faction's candidate Sanchita De Pradhan reached the state secretariat Nabanna and met Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari. This meeting has taken place at a time when there is a dispute going on between the two factions of TMC regarding electoral identity and the last date for withdrawal of nominations for the by-election is Saturday. In fact, this meeting is also being interpreted to mean that Sanchita's nomination from this meeting has been withdrawn.

According to sources, he also took blessings from the Chief Minister. At that time this meeting was described as a courtesy call, but now after Sanchita withdrew her nomination, political discussions regarding this meeting have intensified. After the withdrawal of Sanchita Pradhan Dey's name, the picture regarding the contest and candidates in Nandigram has changed. Actually, Sanchita Pradhan Dey was a candidate in the Nandigram by-election from the faction led by Mamata Banerjee. After scrutiny of nominations he was allotted the 'Football Player' election symbol. After this she reached Nabanna and met Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari. Now he has withdrawn his name from the electoral field.
