Stir in JDU due to Anant Singh's stand on Patna graduate seat!

Senior leaders of the party have dismissed speculations of differences amid the ongoing war of words between JDU MLA Anant Singh and Legislative Councilor Neeraj Kumar over the seat of Patna Graduate Constituency of Legislative Council in Bihar. Union Minister and senior JDU leader Rajeev Ranjan alias Lalan Singh said on Saturday that there is no difference of opinion in the party and the organization is completely united.

Lalan Singh said, “All this is meaningless talk. There is no difference of opinion in the party. The party is united.” Referring to the functioning of JDU, he said that ever since the formation of Samata Party by Nitish Kumar in 1994, there has been a tradition of internal democracy, mutual consent and discussion in the organization and even today the work is being done accordingly.

He said that he had no prior knowledge about the enlightenment program organized for the MLAs, because at that time his program was in Gujarat. When many MLAs received calls, he explained his position. Later he talked to Health Minister Nishant Kumar and senior JDU leader Sanjay Jha. Sanjay Jha told him that this is a general orientation program for the newly elected MLAs.

Lalan Singh said that he keeps talking to Sanjay Jha and there is no dispute of any kind in the party. At the same time, JDU MLA Shyam Rajak also denied any kind of ruckus in the party. He said that the party is completely strong and the party has declared its candidates for the graduate and teacher constituencies of the Legislative Council.

Neeraj has been made the candidate from Patna Graduate seat and all the workers are working to make him win the election. Shyam Rajak said that a meeting of voters and workers of Phulwari assembly constituency has been organized, in which election preparations will be discussed. He said that the party workers are working with full force in support of their declared candidate.
In fact, regarding the Patna graduate seat, Anant Singh has openly expressed his stand against JDU candidate Neeraj Kumar and has expressed his support for Dr. Anuj Kumar Singh.

He has appealed to his supporters to support Anuj Singh instead of Neeraj Kumar. After this stance of Anant Singh, the discussion regarding this has intensified within the party. However, senior JDU leaders are continuously talking about unity in the organization and support for the official candidate. On the question related to Neeraj Kumar, Lalan Singh said that he should be asked about Neeraj Kumar only.
