Union Communications and North Eastern Region Development Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the dreams of Gwalior are getting a new flight. To reduce the traffic pressure in Gwalior, a 23 kilometer long elevated road is being built and this work is being done in two phases. One phase is of 13 kilometers and the second phase is of 10 kilometers. The cost of this project is approximately Rs 800 crore.
Union Minister Scindia inspected the 13 kilometer long face of the elevated road, where he shared information related to the construction work of the elevated road with the officials of the concerned company and advised them to work with high quality. Scindia said on this occasion that this is not an elevated road but an elevated highway. This type of elevated road is being built in Gwalior after Delhi and Mumbai. Overall, the dreams of Gwalior are getting a new flight under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yadav.
He said that this project was approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in the year 2020. During the inspection, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that an elevated road of about 23 kilometers is being built connecting South and Gwalior assembly. Which is passing over the city. A 10 kilometer elevated road is passing through Gwalior Assembly, while a 13 kilometer elevated road is passing through South Assembly. Its construction will reduce traffic pressure and facilitate movement of people.
Scindia said that this elevated road project is expected to be completed by November 2028. Even if the work gets delayed, the elevated road should be built with quality. Apart from this, Union Minister Scindia inspected the multilevel car parking being built in Maharaja Bada, the main center of Gwalior. During this, he took detailed information about the progress of the project, quality of construction work and especially the problem of water in basement-three and its drainage arrangements.
Union Minister Scindia said that every single penny of the public should be used in quality work. Speed is essential in development work, but quality and construction precautions should not be compromised under any circumstances. Union Minister Scindia said that Maharaja Bada Multilevel Car Parking is an important project for Gwalior.
He said that this project being developed under the Smart City Scheme will help in improving the parking system in Maharaja Bada area. Under the project, a parking capacity of 429 vehicles is being developed at a cost of approximately Rs 77 crore. There will be parking arrangements for 353 four-wheelers and 76 two-wheelers.
