On Tuesday, on the 14th death anniversary of Mohan Singh, in the tribute meeting organized at BRD College ground in Barhaj, SP National General Secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav remembered him and fiercely targeted the BJP government of the state. Amidst the crowd gathered at the shrine of Baba Raghav Das and the land of martyr Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Shivpal said that Mohan Singh was one of the very special associates of Mulayam Singh Yadav. His absence is felt even today.
Shivpal said that Mohan Singh was a member of all four houses and did a lot of work for Deoria. Regarding Mohan Setu of Barhaj, he directly targeted the government and said that the SP government had gifted the bridge, but it is incomplete under the BJP government. If SP government comes, the incomplete bridge will be completed.
Sugar mill issue, questions to the government
In the meeting, Shivpal also raised the issue of not having a sugar mill in Deoria. He said that the SP government had established a sugar mill in Kushinagar, but in Deoria there is a lack of industry related to the produce of the farmers. Linking it to the development of the district and the interest of the farmers, he raised questions on the government.
Attack on electricity bill and crime also
Attacking the BJP government, Shivpal said that crime is at its peak in the state. Electricity bills are continuously increasing, due to which the general public is feeling cheated. He said that the government should pay attention to the problems of common people.
In the meeting organized on the death anniversary of Mohan Singh, SP leaders remembered his political life and the work done for Deoria.
During this, former Rajya Sabha MP Kanak Lata Singh paid tribute to her father Late Mohan Singh and presented his work before the public.
On this occasion, dozens of officials including Salempur MP Rama Shankar Rajbhar, MP Ram Bhual Nishad, former MLA Subhash Lal Srivastava, Manbodh Prasad, Swaminath Yadav, Swaminath Bhai, Ajay Pratap Singh, District President Vyas Yadav were present and paid tribute to Late Mohan Singh.
