Automobile desk:- With the intention of strengthening its hold in the Indian electric two-wheeler market, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its new 'Honda QC3' electric scooter. The company has specially designed it keeping in mind the needs of Indian families and people who travel in the city daily. The ex-showroom price of this new e-scooter in the country's capital New Delhi has been fixed at ₹ 1.35 lakh. In the initial phase, the company has made it available for sale through RedWing dealerships in select five cities – Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam.
If you are planning to buy this scooter, then the company has opened the booking window for it. Customers can book it by paying a token amount of just ₹ 5,000. This booking facility is available on Honda's official website as well as at the dealerships in selected cities. To provide customers with ample choice, Honda has introduced this model in four attractive color options – Matte Photon Gray Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Shallow Blue and Pearl Siren Blue.
Talking about performance, Honda QC3 has a powerful battery pack with 3.0kWh capacity. The company claims that once fully charged, this scooter gives an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 145 kilometers. Talking about charging time, it takes approximately 2 hours 40 minutes to charge its battery from 0 to 80 percent with a normal charger. At the same time, it takes about 4 hours to charge it completely i.e. 100 percent, which is quite practical for urban commuting.
For the convenience of the rider, it has been fitted with a 5-inch digital TFT display, which comes with Honda RoadSync connectivity support. With its help, the rider keeps getting important updates like on-screen turn-by-turn navigation and call/message alerts. Apart from this, 'Smart Key' feature has also been included in the scooter for key-less start and security.
Increasing family utility, Honda has provided a large under-seat storage space of 32 liters under the seat of this scooter. Along with the helmet, everyday shopping items or bags can easily be kept in it. With a strong build, modern technology and Honda's confidence, this new e-scooter looks all set to carve out its own niche in the premium segment.
