In the Sambhar Lake police station area of Jaipur rural district on Friday morning, the police team that had reached to remove a person who had climbed on a water tank was suddenly attacked by bees. Five policemen, including the one who climbed on the tank, were injured by bee stings. Everyone was taken to Sambhar Lake Sub District Hospital for treatment.
Police Officer Rajesh Verma said that a person had climbed on the water tank in Sindhi locality. On information the police team reached the spot. During interrogation it was revealed that the person was mentally retarded. The police tried to convince him to bring him down, but did not succeed. After this, five policemen including ASI Satyanarayan Kumawat, Constable Gajanand, Surendra, Bhanwar climbed on the tank and started taking it down.
The policemen were coming down with the person when suddenly they were attacked by bees. The bees stung everyone at many places on their bodies. The sudden attack created chaos on the spot and everyone quickly got down from the tank. As soon as he came down, his health started deteriorating.
Sub-district hospital in-charge Dr. Mahesh Verma said that six people were brought to the hospital. Everyone’s body was swollen due to bee stings. He also complained of dizziness and nervousness. Doctors provided immediate treatment by removing the sting from the body. On receiving information about the incident, SDM Rishiraj Kapil and circle officer Mukesh Mishra also reached the hospital and met the policemen and inquired about their well-being.
