Material
For an example of Prawns
- 250 grams cleaned prawns
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 to 2 green chillies finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chillies
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp coriander-cumin powder
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- Salt to taste
- A little coriander

- 4 chapattis
- 1 onion, chopped vertically
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or green chutney
- A little chaat masala
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Butter or oil as needed

- Add turmeric, little salt, red chillies and lemon juice to the cleaned prawns and mix well. Let it simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped onion. Saute until onion is soft and lightly golden. Then add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few seconds.
- Add chopped tomatoes, coriander-cumin powder, red chillies and garam masala to it. Cook until the tomatoes soften and release the masala oil.
- Now add the marinated prawns to the pan. Saute on medium heat until the prawns are fully cooked. Do not overcook the prawns, otherwise they may become tough.
- When the prawns are cooked, add black pepper powder and some chopped coriander. Finally add lemon juice and stir the mixture once. The material should be slightly dry.
- Lightly heat the chapatis on a griddle. Spread mayonnaise or green chutney on it. Place the prepared prawns in between. Add chopped onion and some chaat masala on it.
- Fold the chapatti on both sides properly and roll it tightly. Grease a pan with little butter or oil and roast the rolls till they become lightly crispy. Serve hot prawn rolls with chutney or sauce.
