Ayodhya. UP Police has filed a charge sheet in the court against 8 accused in the Ram Mandir donation theft case. Earlier you had come to know through news that the name of former General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust Champat Rai and former member Anil Mishra is not in the charge sheet of donation theft case. Both have been made government witnesses. It has now been revealed from the chargesheet that how did Champat Rai get the information about theft of donations in Ram temple?
According to the news of Dainik Hindustan, the information about theft of offerings in Ram temple was first given to Champat Rai by an enumerator working there on June 4 this year. This enumerator had sent a video related to donation theft to Champat Rai. The accused were seen taking the bundle under the tables set up for counting donations and hiding it in their waist. After this video was found, an investigation was conducted in the room where the offerings are counted. During that time Rs 2.25 lakh were recovered from the bathroom. After this, the accused handed over the remaining amount and other things in the presence of Champat Rai and other people of Ram Mandir Trust. The police charge sheet states that CCTV footage was also deleted. By recovering them the entire game was exposed.
It has been said in the charge sheet that when accused Subhash Srivastava was asked, he told that he had spent the stolen amount. CCTV footage revealed that accused Avinash Shukla stole the money offered to the Ram temple 85 times. He was also seen four times helping other accused in stealing money. In the CCTV footage, Karunesh Pandey was seen stealing donations twice. Another accused in this case, Anukalp Mishra, had employed Avinash Shukla, Karunesh and Lavkush Mishra as enumerators. More people were needed for the theft, so Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinnu's nephew Manish Yadav was also appointed as enumerator.
