Rain and strong wind continued to wreak havoc in its market town and rural areas for the third consecutive day on Saturday. Normal life has been affected due to intermittent rains and strong winds since morning, while people's problems have increased further due to power supply being disrupted for about 72 hours. Mobile owners are facing the most problems due to lack of electricity. Due to mobile not being charged, people are not able to make important phone calls and other essential tasks. The problem of drinking water has also worsened due to lack of electricity.
Due to disrupted electricity supply, most of the shops in the market remained dark even during the day. Shopkeepers are facing difficulty in doing business without electricity. Computer institutes, online working establishments and other business activities have also been adversely affected by the disrupted power supply. Many important works of people have come to a standstill due to power based equipment being shut down. Electricity department employees are trying to find the fault and fix it but the supply is not being restored.
Pankaj Agrahari, Amresh Verma, Anup Modanwal, Aditya, Virendra Shahu etc. of the town have expressed anger over the poor system of the electricity department. These people say that the supply is restored in nearby places like Naugarh, Brijmanganj etc. even after the rains, but this problem on their feeder persists all the time when it rains. There is a lot of anger among the people due to this.
