Vrindavan: The case of the death of Sant Premanand Maharaj's disciple is gaining momentum. A meeting of saints and sages was held at Lalit Kunj Ashram on Parikrama Marg on Monday demanding an impartial and high-level investigation into the incident. In the meeting chaired by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Radha Prasad Dev Ju Maharaj of Haridasiya sect, the circumstances of the seeker's death and the alleged reasons for suicide were discussed.
Allegations of unpleasant incidents in the ashram, demand for action
Mahant Mohini Bihari Sharan Maharaj said that a large number of seekers live in the ashram of Sant Premanand Maharaj. According to him, from time to time, reports of untoward incidents have been coming to light from the Ashram premises. The recent death of a seeker has raised many questions. He demanded a high-level inquiry into the circumstances of the incident and action against those found guilty.
Mahant Ganga Das Maharaj raised questions on the role of governance and administration citing the Jawahar Bagh episode. He alleged that some disciples of Sant Premanand Maharaj are preparing a second Jawahar Bagh in Khadar area. He said that if this is so then the administration should investigate it and take action. He warned that if a high-level investigation is not conducted into the matter, a delegation of saints will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and demand an investigation.
Allegation of criminals being disguised as saints
Mahamandaleshwar Radha Prasad Dev Ju Maharaj, who was presiding over the meeting, said that a large number of saints and sages reside in Vrindavan, but in many cases the required attention is not given by the administration. He said that some people of criminal nature are living here wearing the garb of saints and sages. The alleged actions of such people affect the image of the entire Sant Samaj. He demanded investigation into the identity and background of the saints and sages residing in Vrindavan.
The truth will become clear only after an impartial investigation
The saints said that an impartial investigation of all aspects is necessary before reaching any conclusion in the case of the death of the seeker. Only through investigation will the actual circumstances of the incident become clear. A large number of saints and sages including Sridas Prajapati of Dharma Raksha Sangh, Rajesh Shastri, Haryanand Saraswati Maharaj, Moolchand Giri, Sevadas, Satish Giri, Chandan Maharaj, Hari Giri, Ankit Shastri, Purushottam, Abhilakh, Akshat, Suraj and Krishna Das were present in the meeting.
