New Delhi. India's 22-year-old female cricketer Shri Charani has created a new history in the bowling rankings of T20 International cricket. Charani has reached 817 rating points on the basis of her excellent performance in the Asia Cup and Asian Games. This is the highest ever rating in women's T20I bowling. With this, she has left behind Australia's Megan Shutt's old record of 806 rating points.
Became India's important bowler by taking 12 wickets in Asia Cup
Shri Charani played an important role in making India the Asia Cup champion for the eighth time. He took 12 wickets in the entire tournament. In the final against Sri Lanka, Charani took four wickets for 20 runs. Thanks to his brilliant bowling, India won the title by winning the final by 72 runs.
With this performance, Charani also became the Indian bowler with the highest T20I wicket taker in a calendar year. So far this year, he has 39 wickets in his name.

Great performance continued in Asian Games also
Shri Charani also continued his excellent form in the Asian Games held in Japan. He gave a career-best performance against the host team, taking four wickets for 10 runs and played an important role in taking India to the semi-finals.
After this, Charani took two wickets in the gold medal match against Sri Lanka on 22 September. India won the gold medal by winning the match by 147 runs.
Her consistently impressive performances in the Asia Cup and Asian Games were also reflected in her T20I ranking as she moved up to 817 rating points.
