Haryana: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Water Offering Day was celebrated in all the gram panchayats of Fatehabad district under the public service resolution. During this period, awareness programs regarding water conservation, cleanliness and importance of drinking water were organized in various gram panchayats of the district. In this series, water offering programs were organized by the Public Health Engineering Department in Chando Kalan and Burj. Amandeep Singh, Chhotu Ram, Durgesh Kumar, Junior Engineer and Section Coordinator Kuldeep Kumar were present in the program on behalf of the Public Health Engineering Department.
Anganwadi workers, students and villagers participated in the program. During this, the people present were made aware about water conservation, cleanliness and proper use of drinking water.
Made aware about water conservation
While giving information to the villagers and students about the importance of water, departmental officials said that water is the basis of life. It is the responsibility of all of us to save every drop of water. He appealed to the villagers to stop wastage of drinking water, use water as per requirement and keep water sources clean.
During the program, students and villagers were inspired to make water conservation a mass movement. Also, a call was given not to use water unnecessarily in homes and to make others aware about saving water.
Block coordinator Kuldeep Kumar said that the objective of Jal Arpan Diwas is to increase awareness about water conservation and cleanliness in rural areas and to connect more and more people with the water saving campaign.
At the end of the program, Anganwadi workers, students and villagers present took a pledge to conserve water, maintain cleanliness and stop wastage of drinking water.
