Gold and silver boom! Sharp fall in prices, good news for buyers

New Delhi: Amid continuous fluctuations in the prices of gold and silver, there was a decline in the prices of both the precious metals on Wednesday. Gold and silver prices remained soft from the international market to the domestic market. This may provide some relief to people who are planning to buy.

Prices slipped in the international market also

On Wednesday, the price of gold fell by 0.41 percent on Comex and was seen trading around $ 4,169.90 an ounce. There was also weakness in silver and its price fell by about 0.78 percent to around $ 61.110 an ounce.

There was a decline in the rates of gold and silver in the domestic market also. After the market opened, gold was seen trading around Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams, while silver was seen trading around Rs 2.26 lakh per kg.

Gold and silver cheaper on MCX too

On Multi Commodity Exchange i.e. MCX, gold for December delivery fell by about Rs 500 to Rs 1,49,661 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver fell by about Rs 1,300 and was seen trading around Rs 2,26,101 per kg.

What was the price in big cities?

In New Delhi, 24 carat gold was around Rs 1,49,320 per 10 grams, while in Mumbai its price was around Rs 1,49,620. In Patna, 24 carat gold was around Rs 1,49,540 and in Jaipur it was around Rs 1,49,340 per 10 grams.

The price of 24 carat gold was recorded at around Rs 1,49,470 in Lucknow, Rs 1,48,517 in Kanpur and around Rs 1,49,880 per 10 grams in Bhopal. The price of silver in these cities was between Rs 2.26 lakh to Rs 2.28 lakh per kg.

At present there are fluctuations in the gold and silver market. In such a situation, before making a purchase, definitely check the latest price of the local market, because the final price may be different due to the city, tax and making charges.
