Gwalior: A case of befriending women and allegedly recording their personal videos has come to light in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. According to the police, during investigation of the mobile phone of Yogesh Gupta, resident of the city center area, objectionable videos related to more than 40 women were found. On the complaint of a woman resident of Jhansi, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
Case opened after woman's complaint
According to the police, the Jhansi woman alleged that the accused first befriended her and later grew close to her. The woman claims that during this time the video was recorded without her knowledge. The woman informed some Hindu organization workers in this regard, after which the accused was caught and handed over to the University police station.
When the police checked the mobile phone of the accused, they found videos of a large number of women. According to officials, more than 40 videos have been found in the mobile and now it is being ascertained which women these videos are of and under what circumstances they were recorded.
Suspect of blackmailing, police investigating
Investigation has also revealed that the circumstances of some videos present in the mobile of the accused are suspicious. Police are investigating whether these videos were used to intimidate, pressure or blackmail women. However, the police investigation in this regard has not been completed yet and any conclusion is yet to be reached.
Police are investigating the video and other digital evidence found in the mobile. Also, efforts are being made to contact those women, material related to whom has been found in the phone of the accused. Further action will be taken based on the facts emerging in the investigation.
At present, the police have started action on the basis of the complaint of the Jhansi woman. As the investigation of the case progresses, it will become clear how many women's videos the accused recorded and whether these were used for any criminal purpose or not.
