Nana Patekar Passes Away : Mumbai Veteran Hindi and Marathi cinema actor Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75. The actor breathed his last on the morning of 8 October 2026 at his home in Goa. According to reports, Nana Patekar had suffered a serious cardiac arrest. He was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state, where doctors tried to save him by giving CPR for about 45 minutes, but he could not be saved.

According to the information, Nana Patekar was at his home in Dona Paula, Goa. In the morning his health suddenly deteriorated and he was found unconscious. After this he was immediately taken to Manipal Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital performed CPR continuously to save him. Despite efforts for about 45 minutes, his condition did not improve. He was declared dead at around 5:20 am. It has also been informed by the hospital that a medico-legal case has been registered in the matter and postmortem will be conducted.
Nana’s influence remained on cinema for many decades
Nana Patekar worked in Hindi and Marathi cinema for a long time. He started his film career with the 1978 film ‘Gaman’. His acting in films like ‘Parinda’, ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Agni Sakshi’, ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ and ‘Welcome’ were greatly appreciated by the audience.
Along with acting, Nana Patekar also worked in direction. He directed ‘Prahar: The Final Attack’ in 1991. His contribution received many honors including Padma Shri.
