Samsung Galaxy Tab S12: Consumer electronics leader Samsung India has officially announced the nationwide sale of its ‘Galaxy Tab S12 Series’. It is Samsung’s most powerful and multi-purpose tablet series ever, combining an ultra-thin design, superior performance and advanced Galaxy AI. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra (14.6-inch) and Tab S12+ (12.6-inch) feature a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. Its Vision Booster feature automatically adjusts the brightness in any light. At just 5.1mm slim, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s slimmest tab ever, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ is 5.3mm thick.

Both devices feature an energy-efficient 3nm processor, which provides 61% faster NPU, 19% faster CPU and 17% improved GPU power compared to the previous model. It offers a battery life of up to 23 hours on the Ultra model and 21 hours on the Plus model, which charges to 100% in just 95 minutes with a 45-watt adapter. It includes a new 3D vapor chamber for effective heat control.
Running on Android 17 and One UI 9, the series gets Galaxy AI features like Note Assist, Google AI Pro (Gemini 6-month trial) and Samsung Browser. For professional work, the apps Adobe Photoshop, Goodnotes (1 year free), Lumiafusion and Clip Studio Paint are available with special discounts. The devices have got an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust, and will be provided with 7 years of OS and security updates.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at Rs 1,49,999, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at Rs 1,29,999. The Pro Keyboard Cover for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is priced at Rs 27,999, while the Pro Keyboard Cover for the Galaxy Tab S12+ is priced at Rs 26,499. Both models – Wi-Fi and 5G variants, with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options – will be available from October 7 at Samsung exclusive stores, partner stores, Samsung.com and other online platforms.
