Vrindavan: In connection with the tragic accident that took place in the Gurukul Ashram located in the Vrindavan police station area, the police have arrested the ashram operator Acharya Ashish. After the incident, the investigation has been intensified by the police and administration. After conducting post-mortem of the bodies of the children who lost their lives in the accident, the police handed them over to their families.
Orders for evidence gathering and magisterial inquiry
According to the police, based on the complaint of the victim’s family, a case has been registered under relevant sections. Along with gathering evidence in the case, statements of eyewitnesses and other concerned people are being recorded. Police are investigating all aspects related to the incident. A magisterial inquiry has also been ordered for a fair and transparent investigation into the matter.

After the accident, the administration has also increased surveillance regarding the safety and condition of the children living in the ashram. During the investigation, the police-administration got the records of a total of 116 children associated with the ashram. Most of these children have been sent along with their families. Even on Thursday, family members of some children came to pick them up.
Kotwali Crime Inspector Dharmendra Kumar said that after the return of the children on Thursday, now only three students are left in the ashram. Their families are expected to reach by Friday. Necessary arrangements have been made by the police and administration for the safety of children.
Strict action will be taken against the culprits
SSP Shlok Kumar said that a case has been registered in the matter and investigation is being done. Evidence collection, statements of witnesses and other legal processes are being completed. He said that based on the facts that will emerge in the investigation, strict legal action will be taken against the culprits. If negligence is noticed at any level, the person concerned will not be spared.
