Tanushree Dutta's condolences
Actress Tanushree Dutta, who accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment in 2018, on Thursday expressed her condolences to the veteran actor's family on his demise. Patekar died of a heart attack in the early hours. The 75-year-old actor was found unconscious in his apartment in Goa, after which he was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Tanushree's video message
Sharing a video on Instagram Story, Dutta said that she has received information about Patekar's demise, but she will take a decision after thinking before giving her reaction. She also told that she is going to attend an event in Lucknow and wants to focus on that for now. He also expressed his condolences to Patekar's family.
Reference to Me Too movement
In 2018, Dutta had accused Patekar of sexual harassment during the shooting of the film 'Horn OK Please' in 2009. This incident gave a new direction to the 'Me Too' movement in India. Patekar had consistently denied these allegations, and the case was later closed due to lack of sufficient evidence.
