New Delhi. BJP has hit back at the allegation of 'murder of democracy' by Congress and other opposition parties. BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia targeted the protests by Congress and Indi Alliance against the Election Commission and CEC Gyanesh Kumar and cited the Supreme Court order on rigging in the recent corporation elections held on 50 seats in Punjab. He said that the current situation in the country is a fight between two ideologies. Every citizen felt proud yesterday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi respected the basic spirit of the Constitution and served the countrymen as Prime Minister and Chief Minister for the last 25 years. This is a source of inspiration for everyone. On the other hand, we are seeing how the opposition is creating an atmosphere of anarchy while killing the Constitution.

Gaurav Bhatia said that it would not be wrong to say that all the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and all the opposition parties that democracy is being murdered are all false. After all, what are the basis of these baseless allegations? BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said, I want to place before you a decision of a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, which is based on solid evidence and in which re-voting has been ordered in 50 wards of Punjab. The Supreme Court said that AAP, the party which had entered politics with the slogan of 'Swaraj', has today become a party of 'Gundaraj'.
Delhi: BJP National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia says, “A three-judge Bench of the Hon'ble Supreme Court has delivered a very important judgment, and I am placing before you the points that have been stated with great clarity in the judgment. The elections held in 50 municipal wards have been cancelled. So, the first point is that, on one hand, there is the fact of the Supreme Court's order. And the Supreme Court of India has stated very clearly that the The party that entered politics with the slogan of Swaraj, the Aam Aadmi Party, has today become a party of 'goonda raj'…”

The BJP leader said that in the Civic Body Poll (Corporation Elections) held in Punjab in 2026, the responsibility for the elections held in 28 wards in Patiala district and 22 in Moga district was mainly of the state government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Taking cognizance of the allegations that came to light regarding the elections there, the Supreme Court formed a one-member committee comprising retired judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Nirmaljit Kaur. This commission investigated all the complaints and the things it presented before the Supreme Court in its report put democracy to shame. On the basis of the decision of the Supreme Court and the report of the fact-finding committee headed by a former judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, it can be said with full confidence that the 'sinful AAP' and its goons have murdered democracy in Punjab.
