IND vs WI : Hush.. Won for once! A little wobbly; But eventually the bowlers' comeback, India lead the series 2-1

  • A resounding half-century from Abhishek
  • Aggressive batting look again from Windies
  • Strong comeback from Indian bowlers

In the third match of the series (IND vs WI) held at the Holkar Stadium, Indore, India overcame the previous defeat and restricted the West Indies batsmen to 209 runs. Thus, with this win, India has taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series.
Batting first, India challenged West Indies for 224 runs all out. Looking at the way West Indies batted aggressively and crossed the 250-run mark in the second match of the series, it was clear how the Indian bowlers would fare in this match.
Are you watching the highlights of the last match or what? Such an atmosphere was created. But soon the Indian bowlers came back with a grip. Windies put up a good fight in this match as well, reaching 209 for 7.

A powerful half-century from Abhishek

Opener Abhishek Sharma did not let the burden of Sanju Samson's (3) fall on his performance. He put together a partnership of 108 runs for the second wicket with Ishan Kishan. 63 of these runs belonged to Abhishek. Abhishek scored 69 runs in 30 balls with the help of 6 fours and 5 sixes. Just as he looked to complete his century, Shemar Springer caught him off his own bowling.
Meanwhile, during this innings, Abhishek created history in T20 international cricket. He has become the fastest batsman to score 2,000 runs in T20 Internationals. Abhishek achieved this world record as soon as he completed his 33rd run.

Pressure technique of Windies bowlers

Barring India's middle-order Ishan Kishan (37), none of the batsmen could hold on. Tilak Verma scored 28 runs, but he too was oddly run out. Be it captain Shreyas Iyer (1), Naman Dhir (10) or Nitishkumar Reddy (21) were dismissed cheaply.
The West Indies bowlers had created pressure on the Indian batsmen from the beginning. Roston Chase got the wickets of Iyer and Ishan Kishan, who came in late. Roston, Shemar Joseph and Shemar Springer took 2 wickets each. While Kimo Paul and Gudkesh Moti got 1 wicket each.

Strong comeback from Indian bowlers

Captain Shai Hope (5), who had survived in the previous match, was dismissed this year by Arshdeep Singh in the second over. But which West Indies team remains calm? Shimron Hetmyer (43), who was dismissed on a pumpkin in the last match, started to show his skills. Naman Dhir clean bowled him as his storm roared. Something similar happened to Kamel Pooran (42). After hitting 3 towering sixes in a single over by Naman, Naman played his game in the same over and caught Ishankarvi near the boundary.

Although the other bowlers fell short of taking wickets, they kept the run rate in check. Thus Windies could not recover from this shock and Indian bowlers also did not let them recover. Arshdeep took 3 wickets while Naman took 2 wickets for India.
