Adani Enterprises and Jabil will together create a big platform for AI and data center infrastructure in India.

New Delhi, October 13 (IANS). Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) and global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing company Jabil Inc on Tuesday signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a proposed 50:50 joint venture for manufacturing and assembly of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data center equipment in India.

This MoU follows the announcement by Adani Group and Jabil in June 2026 to establish a strategic alliance to develop AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing ecosystem in India.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said, “The AI revolution will not require major breakthroughs in algorithms alone. It will require a new industrial structure, where there is integration of energy, hyperscale infrastructure, advanced computing and precision manufacturing to accelerate the intelligence economy.”

“At Adani Group, our vision is to lead the way in the AI value chain. We want to move beyond powering and hosting AI infrastructure to engineering and manufacturing the critical systems that will define the next generation of computing,” the billionaire industrialist said.

According to a statement, the proposed joint venture will be required to sign final agreements, obtain relevant approvals and satisfy general conditions.

Gautam Adani said, “Our proposed joint venture with Jabil is a strategic step towards this future. It will combine Jabil's world-class engineering and manufacturing capabilities with the Adani Group's integrated capabilities in energy, infrastructure and data centers. This will help build the physical infrastructure of the global AI economy.”

This joint venture will provide a manufacturing hub in India, which will meet domestic demand as well as support exports.

Companies estimate that investments in AI computing will create opportunities worth more than $3 trillion in the global market over the next seven years.

Jabil Inc. “The signing of this MOU is the next step in our joint efforts to establish a large-scale AI infrastructure manufacturing platform in India. We believe India will continue to grow in importance in terms of domestic and global AI infrastructure demand,” said Mike Dustoor, Chief Executive Officer, AI.

“By combining Jabil's 60 years of engineering and manufacturing experience with Adani Group's extensive infrastructure and energy capabilities, we can make our rack-scale data center solutions available to more hyperscalers in India and around the world,” he said.

This joint venture is in line with Adani Group's commitment to develop green energy-powered, hyperscale and AI-ready data centers with 5 GW capacity at an investment of $100 billion by 2035. The proposed venture will also add hardware manufacturing to the group's infrastructure, energy, logistics and data center businesses.

According to the statement, the joint venture will manufacture and assemble AI racks, servers, storage and networking equipment used in the data center. These racks will house high-performance computing systems for AI applications and other digital services.
