Lucknow. There is important news for the people preparing to get driving license in Uttar Pradesh. Now, when taking the test for permanent driving license, you may also have to pay a fee for using the track. For this, separate rates have been proposed for two-wheelers, light motor vehicles and heavy vehicles. Preparations to implement this system are going on at the government level.
How much will be the fee for which vehicle?
According to the proposed arrangement, fees for using the track during the driving test will be charged according to the category of the vehicle.
Two-wheeler: Rs 50
Light motor vehicles: Rs 100
Heavy motor vehicles: Rs 150
This amount will go to the account of the operator of the concerned Accreditation Driving Training Center (ADTC). However, it is necessary to confirm the official order before implementing these rates.
What is the government fee for getting a driving license?
Currently, the government fee for learner driving license is Rs 350 and for permanent license is Rs 1,000. In this way the total expenditure is Rs 1,350. If the proposed track fee is implemented, the expenses of the applicants may increase further.
What will happen if you fail the test twice?
According to the information, candidates who fail in the driving test get a chance to retake the test after seven days. For this a new slot has to be booked. If an applicant fails the test twice, it will be mandatory for him to take driving training from ADTC. A fee of Rs 6,000 has been fixed for this.
In which districts are there training centres?
The Transport Department has established a total of 32 ADTC centers in 20 districts of the state to promote road safety and better driving training. Special tracks have been made at these centers for driving tests. Once the new system is implemented, applicants appearing for the exam at these centers may have to pay the prescribed user charge.
