No block will be taken by Western Railway during day time on Sunday, 25th October 2026. However, night jumbo block will be taken on Up and Down fast lines between Santa Cruz and Goregaon stations on Saturday and Sunday midnight for maintenance of track, signaling and overhead equipment.
According to a press release issued by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, this block is scheduled from 12:30 am to 4:30 am during the midnight of October 25. During this period, railway staff and technical teams will carry out necessary maintenance work to ensure the safety and reliability of railway operations.
Fast local trains will run from slow line
During the block period, all trains on Up and Down fast lines between Santa Cruz and Goregaon stations will be run on slow lines. Due to this, the services of suburban local trains will be affected and some trains will also remain cancelled.
Western Railway said that detailed information about the affected suburban trains will be available with the station masters of all the stations of the concerned section. Passengers have been advised to get information about the status of train services before travelling, so that they do not face any inconvenience.
The Railway Administration has requested passengers to plan their journey keeping in mind the scheduled blocks and allow extra time as per requirement.
