Amidst the ongoing controversy over alleged 'sting operation' and blackmail politics in Karnataka. of Bharatiya Janata Party Senior leader R. Ashok took a dig at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday. He asked whether his 'love shop' has now completely turned into a 'sting operation shop'.
R. Ashok alleged that Karnataka's politics has reached its lowest level. He accused the ruling party leaders of conspiring and backstabbing.
He alleged that government ministers were using secret 'sting operations' to blackmail party members, get tickets and settle personal scores.
R. Ashok alleged that Karnataka Congress is no longer a political party but has become a syndicate which is running with the help of dirty tricks.
Targeting opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha, R. Ashok questioned whether the secret recordings, alleged extortion and attempts to weaken senior party leaders were part of Rahul Gandhi's vision of love. He also questioned whether such activities were part of the much publicized 'guarantee model' of the Karnataka government.
Ashok also criticized Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and alleged that his government has become a helpless spectator to this controversy. When your own cabinet ministers expose the web of internal blackmailing and deception, it proves that your administration is completely rotten.
Warning the Congress leadership of political consequences, he said that the countdown has started and your days are now numbered. This alleged 'sting operation' controversy has triggered heated exchanges between Congress and BJP in Karnataka. Opposition leaders have raised questions over these recordings and demanded accountability.
R. Ashok alleged that the Congress party is witnessing the most shameful internal fight ever in the history of Karnataka politics. Congress leaders are engaged in a dirty game of backstabbing and plotting against their own colleagues to grab power, retain their positions and weaken each other.
He claimed that the Congress leaders who are conspiring to destroy each other have reached the lowest and most dangerous level of blackmail politics.
