New Delhi. A passenger aboard Indigo flight 6E6884 going from Delhi to Pune tampered with the lever of the emergency gate of the plane. As soon as the passenger did this, an alarm started ringing inside the plane. Suddenly the emergency alarm went off in the plane flying at a height of thousands of feet and the passengers panicked. Immediately the crew members became alert and took control of the situation. Later, when the plane landed at Pune airport, based on the complaint of the crew members, the passenger who had tampered with the emergency gate lever was taken into custody.

The name of that passenger is Gaurav Satyendra Rautela, who is a resident of Saswad in Pune district. The police have registered an FIR against him. A notice has been issued to that passenger under Section 35(3) of the Indian Civil Defense Code. Apart from this, a case has also been registered against him under Section 125 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Section 25 of the Aircraft Act. Gaurav Satyendra Rautela was sitting on the seat near the emergency gate in the plane. During police interrogation, he told that he was not aware that touching this lever triggered the alarm.

Giving his explanation, Gaurav told the police that he had just touched the door lever out of curiosity, and as soon as he did so, the alarm started ringing. The police are currently investigating the matter. Tampering with the emergency door lever could have unlocked the door and put the safety of the passengers on board at risk. For this reason, taking this matter seriously, the crew members have filed a complaint against that passenger. Let us tell you that every aircraft has an emergency door which is used in case of emergency.
