Assembly Bypolls Result 2026 Live
New Delhi. Counting of votes for the by-elections held in three assembly seats in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat is moving towards its final stage. Trends and results so far reveal a different picture in all three states. The BJP has won the Manjalpur seat in Gujarat, while Prashant Kishore of Jan Suraj is maintaining a significant lead in the Bankipur seat in Bihar. Meanwhile, in the Datia seat in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress candidate is leading by a decisive margin over the BJP.
Counting is underway in all three seats amid tight security, and the Election Commission is continuously releasing round-wise figures.
BJP Wins Big Victory in Manjalpur Seat
Counting has concluded in the Manjalpur assembly seat in Gujarat. BJP candidate Satendrabhai Patel defeated Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Rabari by a huge margin of 30,630 votes. The BJP received 55,481 votes, while the Congress received 24,851 votes. 2,247 voters chose NOTA in this seat.
Prashant Kishore maintains dominance in Bankipur
Prashant Kishore of Jan Suraj is maintaining a steady lead in the Bankipur seat in Bihar. After the 21st round of counting, he has secured 42,169 votes, while Neeraj Kumar of the BJP has secured 30,276 votes and Rekha Kumari of the RJD has secured 10,309 votes. Prashant Kishore’s lead is steadily increasing, and the contest currently appears to be in his favor.
Congress maintains strong lead in Datia
After the 10th round of counting in the Datia assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh, Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh is leading with 50,307 votes. Ashutosh Tiwari of the BJP has secured 39,396 votes, leaving a margin of 10,911 votes between the two. Damodar Yadav of the Azad Samaj Party received 13,273 votes.

Election Picture Changing with Each Round
Prashant Kishor is steadily increasing his lead in Bankipur, while the Congress has gained a strong foothold on the BJP in Datia. Meanwhile, the BJP retained its seat in Manjalpur with a win. All eyes are now on the remaining rounds of counting and the final official results.
