On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced a big housing scheme for people dreaming of buying their own houses in the capital. DDA has officially announced 'Citizen Housing Scheme' for 1,287 HIG and MIG flats in various rapidly developing sectors of Narela. This scheme has been brought for flats located in Pocket-3 and Pocket-4 of Sector A-1 to A-4 of Narela. All the flats included in the scheme are ready-to-move-in. That means, after the booking and necessary paper formalities are completed, buyers can start living in them immediately. According to DDA, all the properties available under the scheme are completely freehold. This will provide more clarity to buyers regarding ownership of the property.
Upto 25% flat discount
According to DDA, booking of flats under Narela's 'Nagrik Awas Yojana' will start from 12 noon on August 28. The special thing about the scheme is that the allotment of flats will be done on 'First Come, First Served' basis. DDA is also giving direct discount of up to 25 percent on the price of flats to the buyers. This has made the scheme more attractive for HIG and MIG category families. Buyers will get the opportunity to book the flat of their choice subject to availability. DDA has kept the booking process of the scheme completely online. Interested buyers will be able to select the flat and book through online mode. Since the allotment is to be on 'first come, first served' basis, it will be important to book on time as per the number of flats available.

According to DDA, Narela has now developed into an emerging modern residential township. Infrastructure and modern facilities are being developed here with better connectivity. According to DDA, the flats under the scheme are at a distance of about 1 kilometer from the proposed metro station (Sector A-4). Whereas, the proposed Narela RRTS station is located about 1.5 kilometers away. Regarding the connectivity of the project, DDA said that UER-1 is just 100 meters from here, while GT Karnal Road is about 500 meters away. Whereas, UER-2 is located about 5.6 kilometers away.
Narela is developing as a sports and education hub
According to DDA, along with residential facilities, sports and education infrastructure is also developing rapidly in Narela. Narela Sports Complex (Sector A-7) is located at a distance of about 1 kilometer from the flats coming under the scheme. At the same time, the proposed Multi-Sports Integrated Stadium and Sports Complex is at a distance of about 9 kilometers. Apart from this, Narela is also being recognized as a rapidly developing education hub, which is likely to increase the residential demand here.
