According to the latest data of global petrol price, today the average price of petrol all over the world is around Rs 144.36 per liter. In stark contrast, the average price of petrol in India today stands at around Rs 108.71. This simply means that an average Indian citizen is getting cheaper petrol by about Rs 36.65 per liter compared to the world average rate.
Not only this, the condition of our neighboring countries which are facing the brunt of inflation is even worse. Today the price of petrol in Pakistan is Rs 129.47, while in Sri Lanka it is Rs 139.72, in Nepal Rs 135.74, in Bangladesh Rs 112.94, in China Rs 126.34, in Myanmar Rs 133.28, and even in a small country like Bhutan, petrol is being sold at Rs 109.73 per liter. That means, oil prices in these seven neighboring countries are much higher than our India.

According to today’s latest update issued by the Indian oil company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), customers living in metros and big cities of the country will not have to make any new money today. Talking about the country’s capital Delhi, today the price of normal petrol remains stable at Rs 102.12 per liter and diesel at Rs 95.20 per liter. Today, in the country’s financial capital Mumbai, the price of one liter petrol stands at Rs 111.21 and the price of diesel at Rs 97.83.
Similarly, in the southern metropolitan city of Chennai, today drivers will have to spend Rs 107.77 for one liter petrol and Rs 99.55 for diesel. Whereas for the residents of Kolkata, the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 113.51 and diesel at Rs 99.82 per liter. Like Delhi, in Noida, Uttar Pradesh too, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.12 per liter while diesel is being sold at Rs 97.56 per litre.
