Now recently Kiran has talked about today's relationships. He told that how do today's young generation view romantic relationships compared to the older people?
Today's youth have freedom – Kiran
Speaking to news agency INS, Kiran Rao said, 'Earlier people were expected to live in a particular type of relationship, but in today's time it does not happen. I feel there is freedom in relationships now. If you compare today's generation with my generation, I feel that today's youth have more freedom to express themselves openly and live without any hesitation. Kiran further said- 'I mean, now the world has changed and the ways of expressing ourselves are also quite different, so we wanted to understand this aspect.'
How were the relationships of people in the past?
At the same time, when Kiran Rao was asked in the interview why young people seem to be careless about love and relationships, he said – 'Two such young people, who are not in any bondage and are attracted towards each other. In such a situation, what will be his next steps? When they take certain decisions, then the sudden things that happen after that, I think there is a different fun in it, because in my time it was expected that you would have a relationship with a person only within a certain limit. Even the expectation of connecting with someone physically or emotionally was only if you had an arranged marriage with that person. But in today's times it is not at all like this.

At the same time, about the relationships of today's people, Kiran Rao said – 'In today's time, people form very deep and true relationships with each other even without getting married. They become physically and emotionally involved with each other. Today's world is different from before. We have created our story keeping this new world in mind. We wanted to show a story which could properly bring out the newness and independence of today's new generation. Let us tell you, Kiran Rao has directed a story in 'Lust Stories 3', in which Sana Thampi and Gurfateh Pirzada are seen.

Filmmaker Kiran Rao is working on many new projects these days. After Laapata Ladies, she had told that she is developing 4-5 projects simultaneously. These include films of different genres like supernatural horror, noir and comedy-drama. One of these films will have a comedy-drama tone like the Missing Ladies, while the other is a noir film with social commentary. Apart from this, recently Kiran Rao has worked as a director in 'Lust Stories 3'.
