Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the 'Aangan Milan' program organized at Anganwadi center Gosikua Bhudai in Khatima on Monday. During this, the Chief Minister interacted with children, pregnant women, mothers and Anganwadi and Asha workers and took information about the public welfare schemes and services of the government. The Chief Minister reached the Anganwadi center and caressed the little children and talked to them to know their thoughts.

He served food to the children with his own hands and sat with them and spent time intimately. On this occasion, the CM participated in the baby shower ceremony and blessed the pregnant women and distributed kits of nutritious food items to 10 pregnant women. He also provided Mahalakshmi kits to 10 beneficiaries. The Chief Minister performed the Annaprashan Sanskar of five small children with his own hands. On this occasion, he also honored 09 Anganwadi workers and 02 Asha workers. The Chief Minister also planted saplings during the program as a symbol of prosperity and greenery.

Sharing his personal experience, the Chief Minister said that his own children have also studied in the Anganwadi center located in Nagla Terai.

The Chief Minister said that health and nutrition of mothers and children are among the top priorities of the state government. Necessary support and nutrition is being provided to mothers and children through many schemes including Mahalaxmi Kit Yojana, nutrition schemes and Chief Minister Mahila Poshan Yojana.

He said that arrangements for birth waiting homes are being made to provide safe delivery facilities to pregnant women from inaccessible and remote areas. If necessary, heli ambulance facility is also being provided to pregnant women. Through Janani Shishu Suraksha Programme, essential health services are being provided to pregnant women and newborn babies.
