Tezzbuzz Desk – ED raid is going on in the office of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority i.e. GMADA in Mohali, Punjab for the last 36 hours. The action is being taken in connection with an investigation into allegations of money laundering, alleged relief to builders on Change of Land Use (CLU) and other charges as well as irregularities and bribery.
Amidst the ED action, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers protested outside the GMADA office on Thursday. The workers gathered in large numbers raised slogans against the central government and ED. AAP workers alleged that wherever elections are held, efforts are being made to do pressure politics by putting forward central investigating agencies.
Workers clash with police
AAP workers allege that government officials of Punjab are being intimidated in the name of ED. Along with this, efforts are also being made to put pressure on the leaders and ministers of Aam Aadmi Party of Punjab. During this, party workers forcibly opened the gate of GMADA office and entered inside and raised slogans against the Central Government and ED.
At the same time, the CRPF soldiers accompanying the ED team took up position inside the GMADA office and appeared ready. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party workers also kept clashing with the Punjab Police, so that they could go inside and protest in front of the ED teams. During this period, Aam Aadmi Party workers also clashed with Punjab Police.

After being stopped from entering the GMADA office by CRPF personnel, Aam Aadmi Party workers sat on a dharna outside it, while the ED raid continued inside. Later, Punjab Police chased away the Aam Aadmi Party workers. During this period an incident of vandalism also took place. Angry workers broke the glass of a vehicle carrying the ED team and deflated it.
At the same time, AAP MLA Chetan Singh Jauramajra alleges that why ED is being used only around the elections. He called it an old trick of the government. At present, there is turmoil in the politics of Punjab due to the action of ED.
