Samay Raina's India’s Got Latent is facing fresh controversy after a complaint was filed against casting director Mukesh Chhabra and Netflix India over allegedly inappropriate language used on the show.
Complainant Anurag Shrivastav says he came across the episode featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhuvan Bam, Mukesh Chhabra and Kaustubh Agarwal while watching Netflix on September 22, and found certain remarks objectionable.
The complaint alleges Chhabra said, “Mere Aaram Nagar mein aao, g**** *****,” describing it as “highly inappropriate, objectionable, and sexually suggestive language.”
He also noted that the statement’s authenticity, context and exact timestamp still need verification from the original recording.
The complaint argues that if the statement is confirmed, it raises serious concerns about viewer dignity and child safety online.
It also calls for an investigation into Netflix’s role in allowing such content on the platform, specifically demanding scrutiny of Netflix India content chief Monika Shergill’s involvement.
This isn’t the first time the show has run into trouble.
In February 2025, Samay Raina’s YouTube show became one of the biggest controversies of the year, prompting multiple cases against the members of the judges’ panel.
After the backlash the comedian was also forced to delete all episodes of the show.
It all started when podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia asked a participant about parents and sex during a Season 1 episode.
The question was deemed inappropriate and morally objectionable, sparking a major controversy online.
