Sher-e-Punjab T20 League saw an interesting clash between Team India's two stars Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma on Monday night (7 September). Fazilka Falcons captain Shubman hit a flurry of boundaries on Abhishek's balls. However, soon Abhishek took revenge by taking the wicket of Shubman.
After this, when it was Abhishek's turn to bat, he deflated Shubman's team. Abhishek scored 49 runs in just 15 balls, due to which Amritsar Surmaaz easily achieved the target of 192 runs. Shubman took the catch of Abhishek and ended his innings but the captain of Amritsar Surmaaz had done his job.

How was the match?
Batting first, Fazilka Falcons posted a challenging score of 191/6 in 20 overs. Fazilka Falcons team was in trouble after the initial setbacks. He lost two wickets for just 20 runs but captain Shubman and Pranshu Pratap together took charge of the innings. Both the batsmen showed composure and gradually increased the scoring rate. Gill and Pranshu added 72 runs for the third wicket, which brought Fazilka's innings back on track after the initial setbacks.

Shubman scored a quick-paced 67 runs off 35 balls. After his return to the pavilion, Pranshu took over the innings and along with Sanveer Singh took Fazilka Falcons to a strong score. In reply, Amritsar Surmaaj made a great start. Abhishek and Sahaj Dhawan made a blazing partnership of 79 runs, destroying the bowlers of Fazilka Falcons. Abhishek hit 6 fours and 4 sixes before getting out on the last ball of the powerplay.
After Abhishek's dismissal, Amritsar Surmaaz lost the wickets of Dhawan and Naman Dheer in quick succession but Rahul Kumar gave them an easy victory by playing an unbeaten half-century. With this victory, Abhishek's team has kept its hopes of the semi-finals alive.
