Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma has now reached court against the misuse of his identity. He has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court saying that his pictures and other things created with AI (Artificial Intelligence) are being shared on social media without his permission. In this photo, Abhishek’s manager is being described as his girlfriend. Abhishek wants that such posts should be removed and in future no one should misuse his photo, name or identity.

The case was heard in the court of Justice Jyoti Singh. During the hearing, the court saw the screenshots and documents given by Abhishek, but found something wrong in them. The court said that the screenshots of the links mentioned in the petition are not matching. For this reason, the court refused to give any order at the moment and asked Abhishek to file a new affidavit with correct evidence.

Girlfriend told the manager

During the hearing, lawyer Varun Pathak, appearing on behalf of Meta, said that out of the eight links complained about, two are no longer opening. He described one post as that of a paparazzi account. But Abhishek’s lawyer said that the matter is not just about paparazzi. He claimed that the picture was altered with the help of AI and in one post, wrong information was spread by calling Abhishek’s manager as his girlfriend.

What will happen next now?

Abhishek Sharma says that with the help of AI, his photographs and identity are being misused, which can affect his image. At present, Delhi High Court has asked for additional documents and correct screenshots. Now after all the necessary evidence is collected, the court will hear further in this matter and decide whether the disputed content should be removed or not.
