Born in a gangster environment

Siddharth told that he was born in Chanderwal village of Delhi, which was notorious for crime and gangster activities in the 80s. He revealed, “At that time, many big gangsters of Delhi were from the same area. My father, known as ‘Billu Boxer’, used to work as a hitman for those gangsters. He was a boxer and because of that he was associated with this world.”

However, after the birth of Siddharth, his mother decided to get out of this environment. She clearly told her husband that she could not raise her child in such a dangerous environment. Siddharth told that on the advice of his mother, his father decided to leave the world of crime, so that his son could live a better life.

An accident changed life

But fate soon presented another difficult test. When Siddharth was about 9 years old, a terrible incident happened with his father. Siddharth told, “Someone threw my father down from the sixth floor in Rohini. He was badly injured and remained bedridden for about five years. There were rods stuck in his body at various places.” During this difficult period, his mother took the entire responsibility of his family.

Recalling her mother’s struggle, she said, “My mother would wake up at 5-6 in the morning, take papa to the bathroom, bathe him, then cook food for us, send us to school and then go to work, which was 9 kilometers away. She would save money by not taking rickshaws so that she could make mutton bone soup for my father. I remember asking her for a slingshot worth Rs 7, and she would say – not today, I don’t have money.” I grew up in this environment, she was handling everything alone.

Violence and domestic conflict

However, when his father gradually recovered, things took a turn for the worse. According to Siddharth, his father could not accept the change that now his wife is taking the responsibility of the house and is earning more than him. Due to this he became mentally unstable and violent. She said, “My father punched my mother and beat my mother badly. He broke all her teeth in front of my eyes. Every day was a fear and a struggle.” Siddharth also told that violence had become an everyday thing in his house.

He said, “We used to sleep and he would wear boots and kick my mother in the stomach. We used to sleep with the door closed, but the fear still remained. We kept all this hidden from the world.” He said, “In school, we used to pretend that everything was fine, hiding that we were being beaten at home and would be beaten again when we returned home. In a way, we were dead at that time. Now we don’t feel anything.”

Siddharth also spoke openly about the physical torture he faced. He told that his father used to beat him and his sister too, although he was treated with some leniency. He said, “He used to beat me a lot. He used to beat my sister too, but a little less because he loved her.” Under these circumstances, his childhood was very difficult and mentally tiring.

He said, “When I was 16, I hit him back once. It became unbearable. I couldn’t bear to see him hit my mother. Something broke inside me. I felt that if I didn’t hit him back, he would never stop. So I took my dog ​​chain and hit my father with it.”
