Mumbai Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has been in the news on social media for the last few days. Recently, diamond studded bracelets worth about Rs 5 lakh were stolen from his mother's house. Now the police has got great success in this case. After several months, the police have arrested her 40-year-old domestic help in the bracelet theft case. The police are now trying to recover the stolen jewellery.

According to the FPJ report, the accused woman has been identified as Seema Vinod Ghate. She is a resident of Virar and was doing domestic work in Asha Patel's house for about one and a half years. Asha Patel was suspicious of Seema ever since the bracelets went missing from the house in January 2026.
She kept denying even after repeated asking.
After the bracelet was stolen, Asha Patel questioned Seema several times about it, but she denied any involvement in the theft. After this Asha Patel contacted Marine Drive Police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, the police registered an FIR under section 306 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). After this, the Crime Detection Team started the investigation under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Kadam and Police Inspector Whatkar.
During investigation, police traced Seema Ghate to Virar and took her into custody. After this he was produced in the court, from where he was sent to police custody till September 15.

Stolen bracelets not recovered yet
Police are now trying to recover the stolen diamond bracelet. It is also being ascertained whether the accused woman has any previous criminal record or not. At present the stolen bracelets have not been recovered. This case is being investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Pradeep Chaudhary and the Crime Detection Team of Marine Drive Police.
