Adam Zampa is one of the best spinners in white-ball cricket, and he once again showed his talent in the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe. The veteran took two wickets for 62 runs in nine overs in the second match of the ongoing three-match bilateral assignment. The visitors successfully defended 356 runs and secured an 82-run win to take a 2-0 lead.
By adding two more scalps to his overall tally, Zampa took his wicket count to 201 in 123 ODIs. He became the fastest Australian bowler to take 200 wickets in the fifty-over format. He broke the record of legendary spinner Shane Warne.
Warne completed in 125 matches to pick up 200 wickets in ODIs, whereas Zampa touched the mark in his 123rd contest.
Zampa, who is Australia’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is, is also the third-fastest spinner in the history of ODI cricket to reach 200 wickets.
Pakistan’s Saqlain Mushtaq leads the list, with the great achieving the feat in 104 matches, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan claimed his 200th ODI wicket in his 115th appearance for the national team.

He went past the record of Nathan Hauritz. Hauritz was 20 years and 155 days old when he claimed his maiden ODI scalp, whereas Peake was 20 years and seven days old when he dismissed the batter on September 18, 2026.
