Abhishek Sharma's record breaking century gives India a big win
India finished with 221 for 7 after Abhishek played one of the most devastating T20I innings of his career. The left-handed batsman scored 108 runs in just 34 balls, completing the century in 30 balls to register the fastest T20I century against a full member team and the third fastest century overall.
Abhishek hit 11 sixes and nine fours, while Sanjeev Samson Provided strong support with his second consecutive half-century. India scored 100 runs in the powerplay, their highest in the first six overs of a T20I, while Afghanistan Rashid Khan And made a comeback through disciplined death bowling.
The visitors never made a comeback while chasing the target. ibrahim zadran Top scored with 25 runs, but wickets kept falling regularly after the opening partnership. Nitish Kumar Reddy took three wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi also took three wickets, leaving Afghanistan all out for 94 runs.
