CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in the press conference, raising questions about their detention and alleged assault on protesters.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka holding a press conference after being released. During this, Ashutosh Ranka made a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that he has never seen a timid and cowardly Prime Minister like Narendra Modi. In the last 72 hours the country has witnessed an orgy of dictatorship and thousands of people have been detained.
Ashutosh Ranka alleged that the kind of situation created in the country in the past has tarnished India's image in the whole world. He said people trying to reach the designated site for a peaceful protest were detained and beaten up. Ranka alleged that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah made the situation so bad that he and his colleagues were taken away by flight.
Allegation of situation being worse than emergency
Ashutosh Ranka said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to become the greatest Prime Minister of the country, but whatever happened in the last 72 hours reminded him of the Emergency of 1975. He alleged that the current situation has gone beyond emergency. Ranka said that even at that time there was no need to stop trains, whereas in the recent developments, hundreds of trains were canceled and lakhs of countrymen faced problems.
He said that the fight that started against the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has been turned against themselves by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Ranka alleged that the Prime Minister was trying to save Gyanesh Kumar. He also raised questions on the Election Commission, alleging that it is working on the instigation of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah and the role of Chief Election Commissioner is being played to make BJP win.
Serious allegations made against Delhi Police
Ashutosh Ranka alleged that he, Saurav Das and Deepke were forcibly taken away after entering the flight. Referring to the death of Abhijeet's grandmother, he also raised questions on the behavior of Delhi Police.
According to Ranka, when Deepke was informed about his grandmother's demise, Delhi Police was still standing with cameras and mics. He alleged that Deepke wanted to talk to his cousin citing health concerns of his parents, but the police did not allow him to do so.
He said that such behavior even after the death of a close one is inhuman. Ranka told that immediately after his release, Abhijeet left for his native village to attend the funeral of his grandmother.
Condolences expressed towards Abhijeet's family
Ashutosh Ranka said that Abhijeet never wanted his personal matter to become a topic of public discussion. On behalf of CJP, he expressed deep condolences to Abhijeet's family. Ranka said that despite such a huge loss in the family, Abhijeet stood firm and had said that he would not step back from the call of protest on October 10.
He said that this fight has started now. Ranka targeted Narendra Modi and Amit Shah and said that they should be ashamed for making this fight like a war.
