New Delhi, July 25, 2026: government A settlement was finally reached between BJP and CJP on Saturday evening. Due to this, the student movement at Jantar Mantar came to an end. CJP leaders had announced the end of the movement in the press conference with the government and then after reaching Jantar Mantar. However, surprisingly these CJP leaders also expressed some implicit warnings.
Shortly after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the post of Union Education Minister, another meeting was held on Saturday between the government and representatives of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP). After holding a press conference after the meeting, CJP had announced that the government has accepted all their demands and now they are withdrawing their agitation. CJP delegation had said that our demand for resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan has been accepted in the morning itself. Now regarding other demands, the government has assured to fulfill them by Tuesday.
Meeting held in Constitution Club
In the meeting held at the Constitution Club, the Central Government was represented by Union Minister J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh, while the CJP delegation included organization spokesperson Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka. After withdrawal of the agitation by Cockroach Janata Party, Union Minister J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh joined hands with Cockroach Janata Party chief spokesperson Saurabh Das and national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka.
What were the demands?
After talks with the government, Cockroach Janata Party’s national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka had said, “We held 3 rounds of talks with the government delegation. Our protest at Jantar-Mantar, which was going on for several days, had three main demands: Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, withdrawal of all the legal cases and FIRs registered against the agitators and organizers and the withdrawal of the agitators. No case should be registered against the organizers in future.
Our third demand was that a compensation of ₹ 1 crore should be given to the families who have lost their relatives (whose relatives have died) due to non-availability of NEET paper. Recently, Dharmendra Pradhan has tendered his resignation. This means that our first demand has been accepted.”
FIR will be withdrawn
On the other hand, CJP’s chief spokesperson Saurav Das had said, “Our second demand was that all the FIRs registered against the protesters, not only in Delhi but in all the BJP ruled and BJP allied states, should be withdrawn. This was also our second demand. The government has also accepted that demand. Apart from this, the FIR will be withdrawn soon. The government has assured us that it will share the copy of all the FIRs registered, our According to earlier information, 15 to 20 FIRs were registered in Delhi, we will get those copies in any case in three to four days.

Saurav Das had said that Cockroach Janata Party announces that we are withdrawing the movement in good faith (all policy), with the understanding that the stipulated conditions will be fulfilled within the stipulated time.
What did the government say?
On the other hand, after talks with CJP delegation, Union Minister J.P. Nadda had said, “Today we had a long conversation. He had brought a written draft in which he had put forward 4 points regarding the case going on in the movement. Along with this, we also talked about the remaining 2 demands: no retaliatory action should be taken, compensation should be given and their 5-point charter should be considered. We will give them a copy of the FIR and no action will be taken. The second thing that has been said is regarding compensation, the government has made it clear that we too There is sympathy. We all have said that compensation will be given as per rules and law, whatever is possible will be given to them.
