Sergio Gor's visit to Kashmir and Ladakh : US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore will be on a two-day visit to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. This tour is being considered very important regarding the Kashmir issue. At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's reaction has come to light. Abdullah said on Wednesday that he would talk to the US ambassador on the situation in the area, but refused to raise internal issues with the Washington representative.

CM Omar Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar, “After a very long time, an American ambassador is coming to Jammu and Kashmir. For me too, it has been a long time since I met an American ambassador. Let him come; we will sit and talk.” However, he said he would prefer to hear more from the ambassador because “he (Gore) is also coming to listen. Let's see what kind of conversation happens when he comes to meet this afternoon.”
Abdullah said that the issues facing Jammu and Kashmir have no direct relation with America, because the solution to the issues of the Union Territory will not come from Washington but from the Central Government only. He said, “It has never been my habit to complain about my country to the ambassador of another country. The solution to our issues will not come from Washington; the solution to our problems lies with our central government.
The Chief Minister said, “I believe that it would be very wrong to complain about my country in front of the ambassador of another country. This is not my habit.” He said he would definitely discuss Jammu and Kashmir and “our current situation, but neither will I hold any grudge nor will I seek resolution of my grievances.”
