WhatsApp is testing a new feature on its platform, with the help of which users will be able to interact with Google, OpenAI and other third-party AI agents without leaving the app. Currently, this feature is said to be in testing for selected Android beta users.

Through this feature, different third-party AI agents can be added within WhatsApp itself. This means that there will be no need to go to another app again and again to use any AI service.
According to the report of feature tracker WABetaInfo, in the settings of WhatsApp AI agents A new section can be given by name. From here, users will be able to connect any compatible AI agent to their WhatsApp account as per their need.
The user can get an API Key to connect the AI agent to WhatsApp. By entering this key on the website or app of the concerned AI service, connection can be established with the WhatsApp account.
Once the connection is made, the respective AI agent may appear as a separate personal chat in WhatsApp. Users will also be able to change the name and profile photo of that agent as per their convenience.
5 AI agents will be able to connect to one account
According to the report, with one WhatsApp account maximum 5 AI Agents Facility to connect may be available. With this, users will be able to use different AI services for different tasks.
However, this feature is still in the testing phase. In such a situation, some changes can be made in its final version. At present, the company has not made any official announcement regarding this feature.
What will be the arrangements regarding privacy?
WhatsApp can also take care of user privacy with this feature. According to the report, even after connecting a third-party AI agent, it will not get access to the user's other personal chats, contacts or media files.
AI agents will also not be allowed to be added to group chat or community. These can be used only as personal chat.
If a user removes an AI agent from his WhatsApp account, his connection will be terminated. However, chat history of past conversations with that agent will not be automatically deleted. If the user wishes, he can delete it himself later.
When will the feature come?
Currently, this feature is said to be in initial testing and may be limited to selected Android beta users. No official information has yet been revealed by WhatsApp regarding its launch date or global rollout.
