Technology Desk: AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G, which has been in the news for many days through teaser, has finally been launched in India. The company has introduced this phone under the Nova 2 series. The biggest feature of the smartphone is its large 7,000mAh battery. Apart from this, the phone has a 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor and a rear camera with 48MP Sony sensor.
6.75 inch 120Hz display
AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G has a 6.75 inch HD+ IPS LCD screen. Its resolution is 720×1600 pixels and the screen supports 120Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the HBM brightness of the display is up to 450 nits.
The phone has a punch-hole design, in which there is a 13MP front camera. Due to the large screen and 120Hz refresh rate, a smooth experience is expected in scrolling and everyday use.
Dimensity 7100 processor, up to 8GB RAM
For performance, the phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor built on 6nm process. Its clock speed is up to 2.4GHz. Mali-G610 GPU is available for graphics.
AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G has been launched in two variants of 6GB and 8GB RAM. Both models have 128GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB with the help of microSD card. The phone has Nano SIM + Nano SIM + microSD slot.
48MP Sony camera and 2K video recording
Talking about camera setup, the phone has a dual rear camera. Its main camera is 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor, which comes with f/1.8 aperture. It is provided with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, whose aperture is f/2.2. LED flash is also available with the rear camera.
Video recording can be done from the phone up to 2K 30fps. A 13MP front camera has been provided for selfie and video calling. This camera comes with f/2.0 aperture and supports 2K 30fps video recording.
Android 16 and 7,000mAh battery
Talking about software, AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G runs on nxtQ OS based on Android 16. The phone has a 7,000mAh battery, which is its main feature. To charge it, it has 33W fast charging support. USB Type-C port is provided in the phone.
3.5mm jack with IP65 rating
The phone has got IP65 rating. That means it is rated for protection against dust and water splashes. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor has been provided for security.
Apart from this, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio is also available in the phone. The weight of the smartphone is 222 grams.
Support of 5G and dual-band Wi-Fi
For connectivity, the phone has 5G SA and NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. Apart from this, connectivity features like Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and USB Type-C are also available.
Price and sale of AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G
The price of 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model of AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G has been kept at Rs 16,699. Whereas 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will come for Rs 17,999. Under the launch offer, the starting price of the phone has been said to be Rs 15,999.
The phone has been launched in five color options. These include Blue Fusion, Blue Gold Fusion, Deep Purple, Midnight Black and Ocean Green.
The sale of AI+ Nova 2 Power 5G will start on September 24 at 12 noon on Flipkart. That means customers will be able to buy the phone from this date and time.
