AI revolution in Google Chrome, do you know what can be done for free with new features?
Google is using artificial intelligence or AI as a more powerful weapon to maintain its monopoly in the Internet world. A new surprise has been added to their popular browser Chrome for the convenience of users. It is named ‘Skills’. Mainly powered by Gemini AI, this new feature will make users’ daily tasks more perfect. This will save you from having to type the same command or prompt over and over again.
What is Google Chrome Skills?
Simply put, ‘skills’ are a set of guidelines you like or use regularly. Suppose you repeatedly search for cooking recipes on the Internet or check the prices of items on various websites. Earlier this task required typing the same type of command over and over again. From now on, once that instruction is saved as a ‘Skill’, it will be executed. Then Gemini will do it for you in just one click. This technology will present all the information in front of you in a moment even by checking the information of multiple tabs opened in the browser.
How to use the feature?
The method of using this feature is also quite simple. You can enter this world by clicking on the Gemini icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome browser. Go there and write a prompt of your choice and save it as a skill. For later use, simply typing a ‘slash’ (/) or clicking the plus sign will bring up the saved skills. Google has already created more than 50 pre-set skills. From calculating protein to summarizing a long document — everything happens in the blink of an eye.

But not only for increasing productivity, it is also very useful for shopping or personal work. Comparing the prices of different sites while buying clothes is now only a matter of time. However, keeping security in mind, Google said the AI will first ask the user’s permission for important tasks like sending an email or adding an event to the calendar. Currently this feature is only for desktop users and is being rolled out in US English language. It is expected to be available in other languages soon. Needless to say, the experience of Chrome users is going to change radically with this new twist in technology.
