New Delhi. There was a stir at Bilaspur Airport in Chhattisgarh on Friday morning when a tire of Alliance Air flight 9I613, which reached Bilaspur from Delhi, got punctured during the landing. However, due to the wisdom of the pilot and the vigilance of the airport, a major accident was averted. All 37 passengers and 41 people on board the plane, including 4 crew members, are safe.

According to officials, the flight had taken off from Delhi on Friday morning. During landing at Bilaspur airport at around 11 o'clock, the left side tire of the plane suddenly burst. After the incident, security arrangements were immediately activated at the airport. After the plane stopped, all the passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the runway to the terminal building. There is no information about anyone being injured in the accident. After evacuating the passengers safely, the airport administration and concerned officials heaved a sigh of relief. Technical investigation of the aircraft is being done after the tire burst incident. Due to security reasons, the flight operating from Bilaspur on this aircraft was cancelled. The real reason for the technical fault in the plane will become clear after the investigation is completed.
