Akhilesh attacks in the intellectuals’ conference, BJP broke the trust!

Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday attacked the Yogi government on several issues, including the alleged theft of offerings at the Ram Temple, law and order, the availability of fertilizers to farmers, health services, and road construction. He alleged that corruption, chaos, and a crisis of public trust have deepened under the BJP government’s tenure, and that the government is evading accountability even in matters related to faith.

Addressing the ‘Prabuddhajan Sammelan’ organised after garlanding the statue of Janeshwar Mishra on his birth anniversary, Akhilesh launched a scathing attack on the government over the alleged offering theft case in Ayodhya.

He said that the alleged irregularities in donations made in the name of Lord Shri Ram are a very serious matter. Instead of demanding answers from the government, donors are now being asked for receipts, even though there is no system in Hindu tradition for receiving receipts for donations.

He alleged that instead of fixing responsibility for the matter, action was being taken against junior employees. The SP chief said that if anyone has committed the greatest “great sin,” it is the BJP. He alleged that the party, which practices politics in the name of faith, could not even ensure the safety of offerings for the Ram Temple.

Speaking on the issue of farmers, Akhilesh said that the fertilizer distribution system in the state has collapsed. He alleged that first the weight of fertilizer bags was reduced and now farmers are facing problems even for a full bag.

He said that farmers are forced to stand in lines for hours, even though the government claims adequate availability. He also questioned the state’s law and order and police system.

Akhilesh alleged that the police’s objective should be to protect the people, but questions are constantly being raised about police action in the state. He said that a modern police response system was developed during the Samajwadi Party government, but the current government has not made any improvements to it.

Taking aim at health services, the SP president said that the state’s health department itself has become in need of medical treatment. He alleged that the state of government hospitals is constantly deteriorating and ordinary people are unable to receive quality treatment.

Akhilesh also questioned the quality of road construction. He claimed that despite huge expenditures, quality standards were not followed in the construction of the Kanpur and Gorakhpur roads and the Ganga Expressway, and that flaws were detected in many projects at an early stage.

He said the BJP government has lost trust among youth, farmers, and other social classes. Referring to the new generation active on social media, he said the youth are questioning the government’s policies, and the impact will be visible in the upcoming elections. At a conference for the Brahmin community, Akhilesh said the Samajwadi Party practices politics of respect for all classes.

He alleged that injustice has been done to various social classes in the state and that such cases would be investigated if he came to power. Former minister Abhishek Mishra also called for an investigation into alleged fake encounters.

Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav visited Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow and garlanded the statue of socialist thinker Janeshwar Mishra. He was greeted by a large number of party workers. The large crowd led to some jostling, after which security personnel escorted him to the statue site.
