SP President Akhilesh Yadav made a big announcement on Sunday saying that if his party forms the government in 2027, then about 26 thousand schools closed during the BJP rule will be reopened. He also said that the PDA community will be given rights in proportion to its population.
While talking to the media at the SP headquarters in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav cornered the state government on the issues of education as well as employment, roads, irrigation and law and order. It is clear from his statement that SP is preparing to raise government schools and social participation as major political issues in the upcoming elections.
Akhilesh's big announcement on 26 thousand closed schools
Akhilesh Yadav said that the number of schools which have been closed during the BJP government in the state is around 26 thousand. If SP government is formed, all these schools will be operated again. He said that mainly children of PDA community study in government schools. In such a situation, the closure of schools directly affects the poor families and children who are completely dependent on the government education system.
Akhilesh said that if the SP government is formed in 2027, the PDA community will be given its full rights according to its population. That means, along with education, the issue of political and social representation will also be prominent in the party's election agenda. This announcement has come at a time when all the political parties are busy preparing for the upcoming assembly elections, hence it is being considered an important strategy of SP.
From job to PWD, Yogi launched a scathing attack on the government
Akhilesh Yadav also raised direct questions on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's statement of providing one lakh jobs. He said that how much tenure is left for the government and how such a big target will be achieved in such a short time is a big question.
The SP President said that if his government is formed, a special audit of the Public Works Department (PWD) will be conducted. He alleged that the condition of roads across the state is very bad and potholes are visible at many places. Along with this, he also alleged scam in the irrigation department. However, he has made these allegations during political statements. According to him, how public money was used will be brought before the public through an investigation into the functioning of the government and the expenditure incurred in the departments.
Raised the issue of temple donations and expensive petrol and sugar.
Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on BJP and made serious allegations regarding the money donated to temples. He said that even a person begging outside the temple does not steal from the temple, but BJP people also stole the donation money from the temple. He sarcastically said that the public is now waiting for the elections and people are no longer in the mood to tolerate them.
Raising the issue of inflation, the SP chief alleged that adulterated petrol is being sold to the people and the price of sugar is suddenly increased during festivals. From the point of view of the common consumer, the prices of everyday items like petrol and sugar have a direct impact on the household budget, which is why such issues are being raised vigorously during the election season.
Question on law and order, claim of outside criminals coming to UP
Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on the law and order of Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that criminals from other states are coming to UP and committing crimes without fear and despite the government's 'bulldozer' policy, no effective action is being taken against them. He even said that it seems as if there is a nexus between criminals and people in power.
